Frontiers Magazine was founded to inform a wider audience of the cutting edge research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) both at Stony Brook University and elsewhere.

Stony Brook University is a major public research university is located on a 1,039-acre campus on north shore of New York’s Long Island. The university has been recognized by the National Science Foundation as among the top 10 research institutions in the nation, and is a member of the prestigious American Association of Universities. The university also co-manages Brookhaven National lab, also located on Long Island, which is the largest civilian run national lab in the United States.
